Kevin Swanson
Kevin joined GenOpp shortly after it's formation and assumed the role of Senior Analyst while also leading the day to day operations of the fund. Kevin's responsibilities include stock analysis, financial modeling, research due diligence, portfolio advisory, and oversight of Fund operations/finance.
Prior to joining GenOpp in early 2021, Swanson spent 5+ years working closely with GenOpp CIO Joe Fenech at Hovde Group, LLC, a full-service boutique investment bank, as a lead sell-side analyst while also helping buildout the firm’s award winning1 research group.
He joined Hovde from Two Fish Management, LLC a derivatives and equity RIA working directly with the partners in idea generation. Swanson began his career at 40|86 Advisors, the investment arm of CNO Financial, as a lead analyst covering Investment Grade, High Yield, and Asset-Backed securities across multiple sectors.
Swanson was captain/member of the Butler Men's Golf Team and a GCAA Academic All-American.
